Christina (Tina) Urbina Gargus

Tina is a 1994 first-generation University of Arizona graduate and is currently employed by the University as a Presidential Event Planner. She has over 20 years of experience in program and event management within federal, environmental and higher education sectors.

Tina maintains strong community and social connections by volunteering her time managing large-scale and now virtual events for local non-profits and Corazón Ministries – a local Christian ministry dedicated to outreach within the Hispanic/Latino community.  

With the pivot from in-person events to virtual due to COVID-19, Tina is currently pursuing a Digital Event Strategist certification where she hopes to gain new expertise for managing virtual events now and in the future.

Tina is a die-hard Wildcat fan and Tucson native where she resides with her husband Darren – head basketball coach for Tanque Verde High School, and two sons Cameron (18) and Brendan (14). Her son Cameron is a University of Arizona freshman majoring in pre-business.
