It’s already time to think about fall
At this point in the semester many students are trying to decide if the University of Arizona is the right place for them. Maybe the first year has not gone as they planned. They may just not know how they fit at Arizona. They may not be having the college experience that they expected or that you expected for them. THIS IS ALL TOTALLY NORMAL. If they feel this way, they aren’t alone and we can connect them with another Arizona student (peer mentor through the Thrive Center) to talk to them about their experience, and how they can THRIVE and flourish at the UA.
We can also connect students with an Arizona staff member to help them strategize on how to make more of their time, or connect more with campus. We believe there is a place for everyone to belong at the University of Arizona, and there is no one way to be a Wildcat.
Students should be thinking about their fall semester and by now should:
- have an idea of where they will be living or have signed a lease
- completed their FAFSA
- scheduled a meeting with their advisor to talk about their fall courses
- used most their meal plan (it doesn’t roll over)
- checked for holds on their UACCESS Student Center so they can register for classes in a few weeks
