Life feels like it did a full 180°, but through all the unexpected turns life has taken, I have never seen our UArizona community support one another as it is now. As uncertainties arise regarding student employment or grades, the University has continually kept us, students, informed as they make decisions. They are aware of our needs personally and academically and have offered resources to support us during this time.

To help students transition to online classes, the BookStores has partnered with VitalSource, their digital course materials provider, to give students access to eBooks until May 24th. To utilize this option, your student can visit bookshelf.vitalsource.com and use their university email address for access. If students choose to purchase other resources online, the BookStores is offering free shipping on new, used, rental, digital books, and class notes using code “SHIPTEXT” at checkout through April 6, 2020. In addition to textbooks, the technology department offers monitors, keyboards, mice, external hard drives, and much more!

Beginning March 23rd, the BookStores is operating with limited service. Shopping is only available online at https://shop.arizona.edu/, purchases made can either be picked up at the Starbucks window at the BookStores SUMC location or shipped directly to you. As constant updates are occurring, the BookStores is changing along with them. Updated store hours and information can be found on the BookStores website. Satellite BookStores locations have closed, and all events have been canceled. To continue the service the BookStores has promised to their customers, the handling of any purchases is being taken with new cleaning procedures and is offering $4.95 ground shipping on all online orders.

Readjusting to remote learning has proven to be a pleasant surprise! Many of my peers stay in bed and their pajamas as they attend class and we continue to communicate with each other for support. I have learned that I work best when I keep my typical school schedule, write daily goals in my planner, plug in headphones and get to work. If your Wildcat is feeling overwhelmed or unproductive, the BookStores is here for their needs to help them stay on track and working hard. Stay safe and Bear Down!
