Already Have a Health Insurance Plan?
UA Campus Health is also a participating provider to most United Healthcare, Aetna, BlueCross/Blue Shield, Cigna, and Health Net plans for primary care services. Due to the vast number of commercial health insurance plans, we ask that you check directly with your insurance carrier if Campus Health is a participating provider under your plan (Tax ID 74-2652689).

Additionally, students may choose to enroll for one of two health care options available – CampusCare or the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) Student Health Insurance Plan (underwritten by Aetna).

Arizona Board of Regents Student Health Insurance Plan (underwritten by Aetna)
This is a top-tier Student Health Insurance Plan with nationwide and an emergency benefit worldwide.

Under this plan, UA Campus Health Service serves as the Primary Care Provider. Along with this coverage, students have direct access to Emergency Rooms, participating Urgent Care facilities, an Annual Routine Eye Exam, and OB/GYN services, including preventative and routine services received from in-network providers nationwide. This is a major advantage for students traveling or visiting home. For detailed plan information, please visit: www.health.arizona.edu/student-health-insurance

CampusCare
This health care option serves as an ideal bridge for students covered by any type of health plan, where one may have a high deductible, limited benefits or no coverage for charges incurred at Campus Health. CampusCare is not a health insurance policy. CampusCare is an option that covers most expenses after a designated office visit fee for services provided exclusively at Campus Health. For more information, please visit: www.health.arizona.edu/campuscare

Open Enrollment
Open Enrollment for both the Student Health Insurance Plan and CampusCare is generally open two months prior to the start of the semester. Enrolling is easy and completed through the UAccess Student Center. Once logged into UAccess Student Center, select “Campus Health Options” under the “Personal” tab.

Please note: Open Enrollment for Fall 2021 closed September 7, 2021.

The next opportunity to enroll for the Student Health Insurance or CampusCare is during the Spring open enrollment period. Spring 2022 Open Enrollment will begin mid-November and ends January 26, 2022. In compliance with the UA email policy, all open enrollment notices and information regarding the health care options are sent to the student's official UA email address (@arizona.edu).

Enrolling AFTER an Open Enrollment Period Has Closed
The Student Health Insurance Plan can only be added, canceled, or changed during the published open enrollment period. However, there are certain qualifying life events that will allow one to come onto the Student Health Insurance Plan outside the open enrollment period, providing arrangements are made within 30 days of the qualifying event. Please contact the UA Campus Health Insurance Office for more information: chs-insurance@distribution.arizona.edu

Students should call Campus Health to schedule an appointment.
