Snook

José "Chach" Snook, originally from Napa, California, is an award-winning Arts educator, singer, actor, theatre director, music director, church choir director and sports enthusiast. His son Gabriel is currently a freshman Mechanical Engineer major and a member of the UA Men’s Soccer Team II. 

After a career in Musical Theatre in NYC, Chach moved to Tucson where he has taught, performed and/or directed for the last 20 years working with creative teams and schools from Arizona Onstage Productions, Roadrunner Theatre Co., St. Francis in the Foothills Theatre, University of Arizona, Pima Community College, Borderlands Theatre, Arts Express, Khris Dodge Entertainment, Alex Mack Music and the 4GENTS. He holds a Vocal Performance degree from NAU and is currently an Arts Integration Specialist for TUSD’s OMA Program where is also is a mentor teacher and Artistic Director for the annual district-wide OMA Showcase. For many years, Chach was the Choir and Drama teacher at Flowing Wells Jr. High where he received honors as Top 5 AZ Teacher of the Year in 2013 and Latino Teacher of the Year in 2016.


Chach is a huge University of Arizona sports fan and has sung the National Anthem with his group The 4GENTS at various sporting events including Women’s and Men’s Basketball, and Baseball. The Arts and sports are two of his passions and Chach is excited to offer and insight and assistance in any way he can to new Wildcat families.
