Vincent Ruggiero

Vincent Ruggiero is the District Mentor Advisor for 1st and 2nd year teachers in the Central Islip School District. Vincent provides ongoing professional development and instructional support for all newly hired staff in the district. Vincent has been with the Central Islip School District for over 30 years. Prior to being the District Mentor Advisor, Vincent taught middle school and high school English in the district. Vincent also served as a member of the school board in his hometown of Port Jefferson, New York. Vincent holds a B.A. in English and a M.A. in Education.
Vincent’s daughter, Sarah, is currently a University of Arizona freshman majoring in Elementary Education. Sarah is also a member of the University of Arizona’s Women’s Lacrossse Team. Sarah’s older brother Michael recently graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Nursing. Michael is currently working as a critical care nurse in the cardiac intensive care unit at UF Health Shands Hospital.
