Gina Capizzi

Gina graduated from the University of Arizona with a BS in Psychology and a minor in French. She was a four-year athlete on the Arizona Cheerleading Squad. Gina lives in New Jersey with her husband and youngest of three children. Her oldest son is a collegiate student-athlete on the East Coast, where he is majoring in Finance and Accounting. She has a daughter attending Arizona (class of ’27), who is studying Marketing within the Eller College of Management and participating in the Swim Club and the Eller Rising Professional Program. Her youngest son attends high school and also enjoys sports, chemistry and math.

Gina worked as a Human Resources Professional in both banking and telecommunications industries. While living abroad with her husband and three children, she turned her focus on raising the children, while volunteering and participating on various boards.  Since returning to NJ, she’s remained focused on education, the community and food insecurity, by participating on school and YMCA boards as well as volunteering at the local food bank and food backpack program.

In her spare time, Gina enjoys family time, sports; especially Arizona sports, traveling and working out. She values her time as an Arizona student-athlete and cherishes the memories, friendships and experiences she made. Gina enjoys reading the alumni magazine, researching websites of organizations in Tucson, and exploring the campus with her daughter. She continues to be amazed by all the college does in the community and how it is on the forefront of so many cutting-edge innovations.  Gina would like to assist parents and families to better support their student(s) and themselves at The University of Arizona.
