Helping Students Find Careers
By Marie Rozenblit, Director, Career Services
Techno savvy students can explore enhanced career options and potential job opportunities with software paid for by generous grants from the UA Parents & Family Association. The 2006 grants to Career Services totaled $15,505 in support of DISCOVER, NACElink and WetFeet. Additional funding beginning this November will cover Career Search, CareerSpots, internships.com, Going Global and Vault online.
These software programs are powerful tools and this wide array helps students at every level in the university, from freshmen undecided students to graduating seniors looking for solid leads on future full-time positions. Students, already exceedingly comfortable with networking and researching information online, can find solid advice on these exemplary career-oriented sites thanks to the support of the UA Parents & Family Association.
